Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Design Engineer - Specialist in MV Switchgear. The candidate will be based in Chennai. The Lead Design Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including designing, developing, and testing new switchgear products, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves overseeing mechanical design, utilizing tools, and overseeing product design processes from concept to implementation.

Qualifications

• 10+years of experience in Design Engineering, Product Design skills
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
• Experience in enclosure designs, Mechanisms, Switches and VCB design will be preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience using CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, Solid works creating 3D-models and technical drawings.
• Ability to lead and manage engineering teams
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience in the switchgear industry
