Role Purpose :
The Sales Leader - Solar will be responsible for driving business growth in the solar and renewable energy segment by acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, and delivering high-quality techno-commercial proposals. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to position as a trusted partner for solar projects, O&M services, and integrated industrial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Expansion :
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and lead generation to identify opportunities in the solar sector (rooftop, utility-scale, and industrial projects).
- Develop strong client relationships and networks within industrial, commercial, and institutional segments.
- Drive sales pipeline by proactively identifying and engaging with decision-makers.
Client Engagement & Solution Selling :
Understand client requirements and design customized solar solutions aligned with Company's service portfolio.Present solutions persuasively, emphasizing benefits in terms of efficiency, reliability, cost savings, and sustainability.Conduct site visits, technical evaluations, and engage with client stakeholders (Technical, Commercial, HSE, Operations).Techno-Commercial Proposals :
Prepare detailed techno-commercial bids including scope of work, costing, and pricing models.Draft proposals, terms & conditions, and ensure compliance with tender specifications and internal quality standards.Negotiate and finalize contract terms balancing client expectations with company objectives.Collaborate with internal teams (technical, operations, finance) to ensure proposal accuracy.Contract & Project Handover :
Secure formal Work Orders, LOIs, or LOAs from clients.Conduct internal debrief meetings to hand over project scope, KPIs, mobilization requirements, and site-specific deliverables to execution teams.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering, Energy, or related discipline.Strong technical and commercial understanding of solar projects (EPC, O&M, rooftop, or utility-scale).Prior experience in preparing techno-commercial proposals for renewable / industrial clients.Knowledge of contract evaluation, risk assessment, and regulatory aspects in the solar domain.18+ years of relevant experience in industrial / solar sales leadership roles.Functional Competencies :
