Cloud DevOps Engineer - IAC Terraform

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Migration Lead to spearhead enterprise-scale cloud migration initiatives. This role is responsible for leading the assessment, planning, and execution of on-premises to Azure cloud migrations , leveraging tools such as Azure Migrate, Terraform, and CI / CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities to ensure the successful transition of infrastructure and workloads to Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead End-to-End Migration Projects : Drive the execution of both Lift-and-Shift and modern deployment strategies, ensuring seamless migration of workloads from on-premises environments to Azure using Azure Migrate.
• Application Assessment and Discovery : Conduct detailed application intake, discovery, and dependency mapping to inform migration strategy and sequencing.
• Migration Planning and Execution : Design and implement runbooks, playbooks, and cutover plans for structured migration execution, ensuring minimal downtime and risk.
• Infrastructure Provisioning : Deploy and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, integrated through Azure DevOps.
• Issue Resolution : Proactively identify and troubleshoot technical challenges during migration and infrastructure setup to ensure timely resolution and project continuity.
• Stakeholder Coordination : Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding application owners, network engineers, and security architectsto align migration activities with business and technical requirements.
• Azure Services Expertise : Work extensively with Azure IaaS services, including Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), firewalls, and monitoring tools to maintain a secure and resilient cloud environment.
• Identity & Access Management : Integrate and manage cloud identity using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) to ensure secure access and governance.
• Migration Governance : Track and report on migration status, manage risks, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with enterprise cloud standards.
