Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Personal Lines Insurance Team . This role is ideal for professionals who value collaboration, diversity of thought, continuous learning, and who bring a balance of technical excellence and a positive team spirit.

Working in an Agile environment, you’ll contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web-based solutions using a modern tech stack. A strong emphasis is placed on testing methodologies and automation best practices.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web-based solutions using Golang, React, PostgreSQL, Apigee
  • Collaborate with team members to implement software based on design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, readability, and efficiency
  • Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) for coding, debugging, and problem-solving
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and industry trends
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, identifying technical risks and opportunities
  • Build and test RESTful APIs; automate test cases using Cypress and related tools
  • Leverage CI / CD pipelines using GitLab for continuous integration and delivery
  • Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies, contributing to team planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Promote and enhance internal documentation and development processes
  • Support performance tuning, security testing, and system scalability efforts

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years (Software Engineer) / 8+ years (Senior Software Engineer) of experience in software engineering
  • Minimum 1+ years (SE) / 3+ years (Sr SE) in Golang and React development
  • Experience in microservices architecture and cloud-native development
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies such as :
  • GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Apigee, Terraform, Helm, Istio, Envoy, Datadog
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and REST API development
  • Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and the full web development lifecycle
  • Experience writing automated tests using Cypress or similar tools
  • Familiarity with GitLab, version control, and CI / CD best practices
  • Experience or training in Agile Scrum methodology
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage in constructive technical discussions

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to the insurance domain
  • Hands-on experience or interest in AI development and programming
  • Experience with RestSharp for API testing and integration
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for collaborative problem-solving
