We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Information Systems Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on applying technical knowledge to manage information systems, support critical engineering processes, and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency and product quality. You will be instrumental in configuring product data, analyzing insights, and collaborating with diverse technical practitioners to drive projects forward.
Key Responsibilities :
- Apply technical information and knowledge-based activities to fulfill work requests according to standardized policies and procedures, ensuring meticulous documentation of results.
- Apply and support crucial information processes such as Engineering Standard Work (ESW), Value Package Introduction (VPI), product change management, and manage data repositories including technical information libraries, all vital to meet the needs of technical function practitioners.
- Obtain input from and negotiate with a broad variety of technical practitioners to deliver results that directly or indirectly enable high-quality processes, tools, drawings, or specifications.
- Leverage academic knowledge and existing experience to take decisive action and make informed decisions that effectively progress projects forward without compromising project quality expectations.
- Own the problem resolution process for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems, or services, with the expectation that the technical complexity and ambiguity will increase as experience is gained in the role.
- Provide independent execution of established work processes and systems, while continuously developing technology and product knowledge. Actively engage in the improvement of existing systems and processes.
- While the role involves minimal direct management of people, it may include the coordination and direction of work among technicians and / or temporary student employees.
- Contribute effectively towards team goals, exhibit influence within a work group, and continuously develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
- Work on configuration changes for the genset product on Salesforce CPQ and manage their deployment and testing across various instances.
- Maintain comprehensive trackers and conduct data analysis to derive actionable insights, supporting data-driven decisions.
Required Qualifications :
Education : College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an appropriate STEM field is required. A Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
Experience : 4+ years of relevant experience in product configuration management, Salesforce development, SQL, and Python development.
Skills & Experience :
Strong knowledge of product configuration management.Proficiency in Salesforce development.Hands-on experience with SQL.Proficiency in Python development.Knowledge about engineering change management and release processes.Good communication skills and the ability to handle tasks, projects, and stakeholders independently.Basic programming skills.Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.Preferred knowledge of Salesforce CPQ and Windchill.Compliance : This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
