About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud-based infrastructure, CI / CD pipelines, and automation strategies to ensure the seamless delivery and high availability of our financial products.
You will leverage your expertise in Linux system administration, scripting, AWS cloud management, and CI / CD tools, particularly Jenkins, to drive efficiency, reliability, and scalability across our development and production environments. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong ownership mindset and excellent collaboration skills to thrive in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
Key Responsibilities :
CI / CD & Release Management :
- Design, implement, and manage robust CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Oversee Release Management activities, ensuring smooth and controlled deployments across multiple environments, including critical production systems.
- Implement strategies for continuous delivery and continuous deployment to accelerate software releases.
Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS) :
Manage and maintain our AWS cloud-based production systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.Proactively monitor and optimize AWS resources and services.Apply expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with hands-on experience in Terraform and Terragrunt, to provision, manage, and update cloud infrastructure.Linux System Administration & Scripting :
Possess deep expertise in Linux System Administration (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS), including server setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.Develop, maintain, and optimize automation scripts using Shell Scripting (Bash), Perl, and Python to streamline operational tasks and enhance system management.Monitoring & Observability :
Implement, configure, and manage Monitoring Tools such as Datadog, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or similar platforms to ensure comprehensive visibility into system performance, health, and logs.Set up alerts and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues.Networking Fundamentals :
Possess a strong understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP) relevant to cloud and application connectivity.Version Control :
Have a solid understanding and working knowledge of Git repositories, preferably GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review workflows.Problem Solving & Troubleshooting :
Exhibit excellent proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and pipelines.Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.Collaboration & Ownership :
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams.Take strong ownership of projects and tasks, driving them to completion in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Experience :
Relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on the skills listed below.
Mandatory hands-on experience with Release Management and implementing CI / CD using Jenkins Declarative Pipelines.Proven expertise in managing AWS cloud-based production systems.Deep expertise in Linux System Administration and strong hands-on experience with Shell Scripting, Perl, and / or Python.Hands-on experience with Monitoring Tools like Datadog, ELK stack, or similar.Hands-on experience with one of the following IaC tools : Terraform and / or Terragrunt.Knowledge of Git repositories, preferably GitHub.Excellent proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting technical issues.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Work Ethic : Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and a strong motivation to drive tasks to completion and take ownership.
