Podar - Lead - Legal Counsel - Disputes & Corporate Governance - LLB / LLM

We are hiring a Senior Legal Counsel in our Legal team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across litigation, arbitration, corporate legal advisory, insolvency, and white-collar crime. This role demands strategic legal thinking, hands-on litigation experience, and the ability to advise senior stakeholders across industries.

Key Responsibilities :

• Represent the company in courts (Supreme, High, District, NCLT) and arbitration (domestic / international - SIAC, etc.)
• Handle EPC, JV, licensing, and contract-related disputes
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions; advise on breach of contract, fraud, employment & data privacy
• Review / draft contracts : PMC, transshipment, production, loans / guarantees, SPAs, SHAs
• Advise on M&A, JV, licensing, restructuring, asset protection, employment, and IBC-related matters
• Represent clients before ED, CBI, EOW
• Handle matters involving insider trading, misappropriation, market manipulation
• Lead whistleblower investigations; manage quashing of FIRs, complaints, summons
• Liaise with regulators, trustees, and cross-industry stakeholders
• Support senior management / board with legal strategy and Requirements :
• LL.B. & LL.M. from reputed law schools
• Bachelor's degree (any discipline); business / management certification preferred
• 10+ years in litigation, arbitration, corporate law, and white-collar crime
• Strong knowledge of commercial / corporate laws, IBC, criminal statutes
• Proven drafting, negotiation, and litigation skills; cross-border exposure preferred
• Excellent communication; proficiency in English (Hindi / Marathi a plus)
• Registered with Bar Council of India / state council
• Membership in legal bodies (e.g., IBA, LCIA) preferred
