About the Business :

We are a well-established jewellery wholesale business looking to revolutionize the industry by developing a cutting-edge B2B e-commerce platform (app & website). Our goal is to provide our global retailer clients with seamless access to our entire inventory, enabling them to browse, filter, and place orders directly through the platform.

This project involves migrating data (product images, descriptions, pricing) from our legacy system, building a user-friendly app / website, and ensuring a smooth ordering process.

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in software & app development to oversee the entire project lifecycle—from planning to deployment. The ideal candidate will have :

  • Expertise in e-commerce platforms, inventory management systems, and mobile app development.
  • The ability to analyze our current legacy software and ensure seamless data migration.
  • A vision to create an innovative, industry-leading platform that stands out in the jewellery wholesale market.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Planning & Strategy :
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop a detailed project timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Technical Oversight :
  • Work closely with developers, UI / UX designers, and QA teams to ensure the app / website meets business requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend the best tech stack (e.g., React Native / Flutter for app, Shopify / Magento / Custom solution for web).
  • Ensure seamless data migration from the existing legacy system to the new platform.
  • Vendor & Team Management :
  • Hire and manage developers, designers, and third-party vendors (if outsourcing).
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and ensure deadlines are met.
  • User Experience & Industry Innovation :
  • Ensure the platform has advanced filtering, search functionality, real-time inventory updates, and a seamless checkout process.
  • Implement features like bulk ordering, wishlists, order tracking, and multi-language / currency support for global clients.
  • Testing & Deployment :
  • Oversee QA testing (UI / UX, performance, security) before launch.
  • Plan a phased rollout and gather user feedback for improvements.
  • Post-Launch Optimization :
  • Monitor platform performance, fix bugs, and implement updates.
  • Analyze user behavior to enhance features and drive adoption.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

    Proven experience (3+ years) in Project Management for software / app development (e-commerce experience is a huge plus).

    Strong technical knowledge of :

  • Mobile app development (iOS & Android).
  • Web development (frontend & backend).
  • Database management & API integrations.
  • Legacy system migration.
  • Familiarity with jewellery / wholesale industry systems (e.g., inventory management, CRM, ERP).
  • Excellent communication & leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

    • Nice-to-Have :

  • Previous work with B2B wholesale platforms.
  • Knowledge of 3D product visualization (for jewellery).
  • Understanding of secure payment gateways & multi-currency processing.
