Job Title : Principal Engineer Node.js & React (Architecture Focus)

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 12 16 years

Employment Type : the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and React, who can take a lead role in the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-grade web applications. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in full-stack development, cloud-native architectures, and technical leadership across agile Responsibilities :

  • Drive the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-performance web applications using Node.js and React.
  • Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and architecture guidelines across teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Own the end-to-end technical roadmap of systems and applications, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams; conduct code reviews and architectural discussions.
  • Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies and tools to improve productivity, scalability, and performance.
  • Ensure robust security, performance, and reliability of applications in production environments.
  • Lead design sessions, PoCs, and technical evaluations for new Skills & Qualifications :
  • 1216 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with at least 5+ years in architectural roles.

Expert-level proficiency in :

  • Node.js RESTful APIs, microservices architecture
  • React.js component-based UI design, Redux or similar state management libraries
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven experience in designing and building scalable microservices, event-driven systems, and API gateways.
  • Solid understanding of CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a product-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management to Have :
  • Experience in Next.js, server-side rendering, or web performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, WebSockets, or real-time data architectures.
  • Exposure to enterprise design patterns, domain-driven design (DDD), and clean architecture principles.
