J ob Description – Business Analyst (Banking – Lending Domain)

Position : Business Analyst

Experience : 4 to 9 years

Location : Mumbai

Employment Type : Full-Time

Domain : Banking – Lending (MSME, Gold Loan, Agri Loan)

Key Responsibilities :

Interact with stakeholders from Indian banks to understand business requirements

specific to MSME, Gold Loan, and Agri Loan products.

Conduct requirement gathering sessions and translate business needs into

Functional Specifications Documents (FSD), Use Cases, or User Stories.

Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements in loan origination,

processing, underwriting, disbursement, and recovery.

Prepare and maintain documentation including BRDs, FSDs, process flows, and

mock-ups.

Work closely with the development and QA teams to clarify requirements and

support functional testing, UAT coordination, and defect triage.

Work with cross-functional teams including product owners, testers, developers, and

bank stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills :

Strong domain expertise in Indian banking loan products – MSME, Gold Loan, and

Agricultural Lending.

Proven experience in preparing FSDs, Use Cases, and User Stories.

Ability to conduct detailed requirement elicitation sessions with business users.

Familiarity with loan lifecycle management and banking regulations related to

lending.

Good understanding of workflow systems and loan origination systems (LOS).

Good to Have :

Exposure to banking core systems like Finacle, Flexcube, or Intellect LOS.

Knowledge of digital lending platforms and APIs.

Awareness of regulatory compliance requirements (RBI, KYC, etc.).

Educational Qualification :

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.

Certifications like CBAP, CSPO, or Agile BA (optional but preferred).

Soft Skills :

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving orientation.

Ability to work independently and in teams across geographically distributed
