- 3+ years of experience in 3D modeling with tools such as Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, or Cinema 4D.
- Solid understanding of texturing, UV mapping, and material creation (PBR workflow).
- Experience in optimizing large-scale environments for real-time rendering (Unity, Unreal, WebGL).
- Proficient in importing / exporting between formats such as glTF, FBX, OBJ, and GIS / BIM standards.
- Familiarity with geospatial workflows (e.g., Cesium, ArcGIS CityEngine, QGIS) and coordinate systems.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, GIS data, or civil engineering diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience creating digital twins or simulations involving city infrastructure, urban planning, or smart buildings.Familiarity with automation tools and procedural modeling (Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes, etc.).Background in GIS, civil engineering, or architectural visualization.Exposure to real-time pipelines like CesiumJS, Unreal Engine with Pixel Streaming, or NVIDIA Omniverse.Knowledge of LIDAR processing, point cloud cleanup, or mesh decimation tools.Youll Collaborate With :
Immersive Experience Developers to ensure seamless integration of models into real-time simulations.Simulation & Data Engineers to align 3D geometry with real-world data overlays.Computer Vision Engineers to annotate environments and support object detection training.Platform Engineers to optimize asset loading and runtime performance.Product & Design Teams to translate functional city services into interactive spatial models.Key Responsibilities :
Model, texture, and optimize 3D assets representing buildings, roads, utility systems, and other urban infrastructure at city scale.Convert and clean data from BIM, CAD, LIDAR, photogrammetry, and GIS sources into game-ready assets.Ensure spatial accuracy and georeferencing of all 3D models using real-world coordinate systems.Implement Level of Detail (LOD) techniques and occlusion strategies to ensure real-time performance.Collaborate with immersive and simulation developers to integrate assets into digital twin platforms (Unity, Unreal, CesiumJS, etc.).Maintain consistent visual fidelity and performance across a range of devices and use cases (web, desktop, AR / VR).Troubleshoot asset performance and rendering issues, and continuously refine pipelines and tools.Work closely with UI / UX and spatial designers to align environment design with functional needs.ref : hirist.tech)
