Finance associate

Role Overview and Responsibilities :

Dhruva Space is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Associate to support and strengthen our finance operations and analytical functions. This full-time role involves managing core financial activities, ensuring compliance, and contributing to data-driven decision-making within a dynamic, innovation-focused space-tech environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to independently handle finance responsibilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.

Manage daily finance operations such as bookkeeping, internal documentation, reconciliations, and report generation.

Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Perform variance analysis, identify discrepancies, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors for audits, compliance requirements, and other finance-related matters.

Conduct industry and competitor research to support strategic and financial decision-making.

Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.

Handle confidential financial information with integrity and professionalism.

Candidate Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. Candidates with CA Inter or MBA in Finance are preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point; experience with accounting / ERP software is an advantage.

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively.

High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
