About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at the L2 / L3 level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments, including RAC and GoldenGate setups. The role requires deep technical knowledge in database administration, performance tuning, backup / recovery, and replication technologies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain Oracle database environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, and migration of Oracle databases including RAC (Real Application Clusters).
- Monitor database performance and perform performance tuning of SQL queries, memory, and I / O resources.
- Administer backup and recovery using RMAN, ensuring data protection and disaster recovery readiness.
- Manage Oracle GoldenGate replication setup and troubleshooting to support data synchronization across environments.
- Implement and maintain database security policies, including user management, roles, and privileges.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support database-related issues and application deployments.
- Perform database health checks, audits, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support including escalations from junior DBAs and other Skills :
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration (versions 11g, 12c, 19c preferred).
- Expertise in managing Oracle RAC environments.
- Proficient in backup and recovery using RMAN.
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and disaster recovery.
- Deep understanding of performance tuning including SQL tuning, instance tuning, and database optimization.
- Knowledge of Oracle security and compliance standards.
- Experience in database patching, upgrades, and migrations.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl for automation.
- Experience with database monitoring tools (OEM, TOAD, SQL Developer, or similar).
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
