About the Project

InstaSupply is building a full marketplace ecosystem for construction materials :

• Customer app
• Supplier app
• Driver app
• Admin system
• Real-time delivery tracking
• AI-powered product search
• Supplier sync with Shopify, Clover, QuickBooks and more

You will architect and build the backend that powers the entire platform.

What You Will Build

Authentication + user roles (customer, supplier, driver)

Product catalog, categories, inventory APIs

Cart, checkout, pricing logic

Order creation, transitions, and reporting

Driver routing + live location updates

Push notification triggers

Webhooks + third-party integrations

Admin API for supplier approvals

AI search endpoints (with vector DB)

Logs, caching, queue systems

Core Responsibilities

Design and develop secure REST APIs

Build scalable backend architecture from scratch

Integrate Shopify, Clover, QuickBooks and other external APIs

Implement real-time updates (WebSockets or equivalent)

Work with mobile engineer to expose clean endpoints

Ensure performance, reliability, and security

Deploy to cloud (AWS / GCP) with CI / CD

Required Skills

Strong experience in Node.Js

Hands-on with MongoDB or PostgreSQL

Experience designing complex API systems

Real-time technologies : WebSockets / Socket.Io / Firebase

System architecture, caching, queues (Redis / RabbitMQ)

Experience integrating third-party APIs

Strong debugging & problem-solving skills

Solid Git discipline

Bonus Skills

Experience with Shopify / QuickBooks APIs

Knowledge of GraphQL

Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone / Qdrant)

DevOps basics (Docker, CI / CD, load balancing)

Background in eCommerce or logistics systems
