The resource will perform ETL Development work for the Business Intelligence group of Global Applications.The resource will develop code supporting execution of the design provided by the DA.The resource will participate in code reviews, execute unit testing, support UAT and document and monitor implementations.The resource will also provide trouble shooting expertise to assigned Production issues, and interface with the Team in MN.

A Day in the Life

Specific Technical Knowledge Required :

• Utilize ETL tools (Informatica) in support of development based on business model design and source data.
• Utilize shell scripting protocols for effective delivery of assignments
• Code development, unit testing and deployment to production.
• Collaborate proactively with functional users, analysts and other team members to solidify deliverables.
• Understand business requirements, determine implementation strategy and translate into code that conforms to best practices and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Debug, tune and optimize code for optimal performance.
• Schedule jobs via the Tivoli utility.
• Understands security requirements for data access
• Provides direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance.
• Perform work reviews upon completion of assignments to ensure adequacy in meeting objectives
• Interprets and ensures compliance to policies and procedures and recommends enhancements that impact the Business Intelligence group.
• Adherence to best practice guidelines, meets all business requirements and delivers projects on schedule and on budget
• Good understanding of the entire project life cycle.
