Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power BI Data Analyst with 5-7 years of experience to join our data analytics team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to various business units.

This role requires a strong understanding of data modeling, data visualization best practices, and a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, concise, and impactful visual stories.

The Power BI Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, gather requirements, and deliver robust reporting solutions that support strategic Responsibilities :

• Dashboard & Report Development : Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
• Data Modeling & Transformation : Create and optimize robust data models within Power BI (using Power Query and DAX) to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
• Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with business stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to understand their data analysis needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Data Source Connectivity : Connect Power BI to various data sources, including SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, cloud data warehouses (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, AWS Redshift), and other relevant systems.
• DAX & M Language : Write complex DAX formulas and M queries to create calculated columns, measures, and custom transformations for advanced analytics.
• Performance Optimization : Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, ensuring quick loading times and efficient data refresh.
• Data Quality & Governance : Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency within reports. Implement data validation rules and contribute to data governance initiatives.
• User Training & Support : Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI reports, data models, and underlying data sources.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance : Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies, report errors, and performance issues.
• Best Practices : Advocate for and implement Power BI best practices, including data visualization principles, user experience design, and security.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements to existing reporting Skills and Qualifications :
• Experience : 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst with a strong focus on Microsoft Power BI.
• Power BI Expertise : Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M language), and report development.
• SQL Proficiency : Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and understand database structures.
• Data Warehousing Concepts : Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling.
• Data Visualization : Proven ability to design effective and intuitive data visualizations that convey insights clearly.
• Analytical Thinking : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaboration : Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related quantitative Skills :
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics).
• Experience with Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling concepts.
• Certifications in Power BI or related Microsoft technologies
