Role Description :

This is a full-time, on-site role for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant located at our Chennai office. The SAP FICO Consultant will play a pivotal role in analyzing client business processes, providing expert consultation, and leading the implementation of SAP FICO solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include the meticulous management of master data, the execution and optimization of complex financial and controlling processes, and providing comprehensive ongoing support to clients. The consultant will work closely with clients to gain a deep understanding of their specific needs and deliver highly tailored, impactful SAP FICO solutions that drive efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Business Process Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis of client business processes related to finance and controlling to identify pain points and opportunities for SAP FICO optimization.
  • SAP FICO Implementation : Lead and participate in the full lifecycle implementation of SAP FICO modules, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.
  • Module Expertise : Apply strong hands-on experience in core SAP FICO modules, specifically :

1. Financial Accounting (FI) : General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, New GL.

2. Controlling (CO) : Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing (basic understanding), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA - basic understanding).

3. Master Data Management : Oversee and advise on the setup, maintenance, and migration of SAP FICO master data.

4. Financial & Controlling Processes : Design, implement, and optimize financial and controlling processes within SAP, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

  • Integration : Possess a good understanding of integration points between SAP FICO and other key SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP).
  • Client Interaction & Consulting : Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, leading discussions, gathering requirements, providing expert advice, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Documentation : Create comprehensive functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, and end-user training materials.
  • Support & Training : Provide ongoing functional support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver training to end-users to ensure smooth system adoption and operation.
  • Problem Solving : Analyze and resolve complex SAP FICO related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Team Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with project managers, technical teams, and other functional consultants to ensure successful project delivery.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience : 3 to10 years of relevant experience as an SAP FICO Consultant.

    • Technical Proficiency :

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO modules - Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).
  • Expertise in core FI components including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting.
  • Expertise in core CO components including Cost Center Accounting and Profit Center Accounting.
  • Working knowledge of other CO sub-modules like Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis is a plus.
  • Integration Knowledge : Good understanding of integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP).
  • Client-Facing Skills : Strong client interaction, presentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.
  • Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication : Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work Mode : Strictly Work From Office (WFO) - 5 Days a Week at our Chennai office. No Hybrid / WFH options available.
  • Notice Period : Immediate to Max 30 Days Only. Profiles with notice periods beyond 30 days will not be considered.
