Overview
The Optometrist role based in Yelahanka Bangalore is a pivotal position in the healthcare framework of our organization. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and assess patients visual acuity.
- Diagnose refractive errors and other eye conditions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses including glasses and contact lenses.
- Provide fitting and adjustment of glasses to ensure optimal comfort and effectiveness.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and the importance of regular check-ups.
- Utilize specialized optical equipment to determine patients eye health.
- Monitor the progress of patients requiring ongoing eye care.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists for referral and treatment of complex cases.
- Maintain neat and organized patient records and data management.
- Stay updated with the latest optometric practices and technologies.
- Assist in locating the best lenses and frame styles for patients.
- Ensure a clean and welcoming office environment for patients.
- Handle and address patients concerns regarding their vision and prescriptions.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments and confirming insurance benefits.
- Attend professional development workshops and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.State licensure or certification to practice optometry.2 to 4 years of professional experience as an optometrist.Experience in fitting and cutting glasses is mandatory.Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work well within a team environment.Proficient in optical technologies and equipment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.Knowledge of ocular diseases and treatment options.Skills in managing multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.Commitment to patient satisfaction and quality care.Practice a high level of professionalism and ethical standards.Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.Willingness to participate in community outreach and education programs.Contact Mr Manoj Thenua WhatsApp
