Job Description :
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager-IT Services to lead the planning, implementation, and support of IT services across the organization.
This role involves managing infrastructure, service delivery, user support, vendor coordination, and driving continuous improvements in IT operations, ensuring that technology supports the business effectively and securely.
Key Responsibilities :
IT Operations & Service Management :
- Lead daily IT service operations including helpdesk, hardware, software, and network support.
- Implement and manage ITIL-based service delivery frameworks (incident, problem, change management).
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and services.
Infrastructure Management :
Oversee IT infrastructure including servers, data centers, cloud environments, networks, and end-user systems.Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.Ensure proactive monitoring, maintenance, and patching of systems and infrastructure.People & Vendor Management :
Manage and mentor the IT support team; assign tasks and monitor KPIs / SLA compliance.Liaise with vendors for procurement, service-level agreements (SLAs), and technical support.Manage annual IT budgets, procurement of licenses, and hardware / software inventory.IT Governance & Compliance :
Ensure IT policies, processes, and data security standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.) arefollowed.
Maintain documentation of infrastructure, processes, and compliance records.Support audits and implement corrective actions for non-compliance.Project Management :
Lead IT service-related projects such as rollouts, system implementations, and automation initiatives.Work with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and deliver timely solutions.Stakeholder Engagement :
Act as the primary IT contact for business units to address technology requirements or issues.Communicate clearly with users, management, and vendors to manage expectations and outcomes.Technical Skills Required :
Strong knowledge of :
Windows / Linux Servers, Active Directory, DNS / DHCPNetworking-LAN / WAN, VPN, Firewalls, Switches, RoutersCloud platforms-Microsoft Azure / AWS / Google CloudVirtualization-VMware / Hyper-VEnd-User Support-Office 365, endpoint security, remote accessFamiliar with ITSM tools-ServiceNow, Freshservice, Jira Service Desk, etc.Backup & DR tools-Veeam, Acronis, CommVault (or similar)Scripting / Automation-PowerShell, Bash (preferred but not Skills :Excellent leadership and team management skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsCustomer-focused mindset and service Qualifications :Bachelors / Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldITIL Certification (Foundation or higher) preferredAdditional certifications like PMP, MCSE, CCNA, or cloud certifications (AWS / Azure) are an added advantageref : hirist.tech)
