Introduction to role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power Platform Specialist to join the GBS Visual Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom business applications and solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Power Platform tools. You will collaborate with stakeholders to transform business requirements into efficient, scalable, and user-friendly applications that drive business efficiency and innovation.

Accountabilities

• Design and develop custom business applications using Power Apps (canvas apps, model-driven apps, portals) and integrate them with various data sources, including Dataverse, SharePoint, and external APIs.
• Leverage Power Automate to automate business processes, create workflows, and integrate applications with other services and platforms.
• Write custom code using TypeScript, JavaScript, and PCF components to extend the functionality of Power Apps and address complex business needs.
• Design and implement data models within Dataverse and ensure seamless integration with other data sources.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the applications meet the required standards and specifications.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Power Apps applications, ensuring they are responsive and user-friendly.
• Work closely with business analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed applications and solutions.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for deployed Power Apps solutions.
• Mentor junior team members, provide technical support, and share best practices related to Power Platform development.
• Ensure that all applications comply with data protection regulations, organizational security policies, development best practices, and governance frameworks.
