Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Asset Management Analyst to join our team. With 6+ years specializing in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and CMDB administration, and 8-10+ years in overall IT Operations, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing global HAM policies, maintaining accurate inventory, and optimizing the entire IT asset lifecycle. This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise with ITAM tools, and a keen eye for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement global Hardware Asset Management (HAM) policies, processes, and standards in alignment with ITIL best practices.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, network devices, servers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage the entire IT asset lifecycle activities, from procurement and deployment to maintenance, tracking, and eventual disposal.
- Monitor hardware asset performance, utilization, warranty status, and maintenance contracts to ensure optimal asset health and compliance.
- Provide data-driven insights and comprehensive reports to support decision-making regarding asset refresh cycles, cost analysis, financial planning, and budgeting related to IT assets.
- Conduct regular asset audits to identify discrepancies, reconcile inventory records, and address compliance concerns to minimize risks.
- Supervise and guide regional asset coordinators or analysts to ensure consistent HAM practices are implemented and adhered to globally.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to hardware assets, ensuring optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze asset usage data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, asset optimization, and improved return on investment.
- Optimize IT asset utilization and reduce overall costs through effective tracking, reallocation of unused or underutilized assets, and strategic planning.
- Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency of ITAM processes, driving automated and standardized solutions where possible.
- Monitor Purchase Order (PO) housekeeping in cooperation with requestors and run monthly reports to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Manage relationships with vendors to effectively address asset-related issues and ensure timely support and service.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience :
6+ years in IT Asset Management (HAM), specifically focusing on hardware assets, and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) administration.8 to 10+ years of overall experience in IT Operations.Hands-on experience with industry-standard ITAM / CMDB tools (e.g., ServiceNow).Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting, along with basic knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools.Familiarity with ITIL processes (ITIL certification is a plus).Experienced in handling multi-regional teams and providing training to onsite engineers.Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of hardware / software asset lifecycle management.Strong knowledge of asset cost, classes, and risk management.Proficient in creating and automating reports and dashboards related to IT assets.Soft Skills :
