Role : Washbay Operator / Washroom Attendant

3+ years experience in a similar role and mechanical aptitude a must, along with ability to follow procedures precisely and flexibility to respond changing priorities.Ideal for a Line Setter with experience in the pharmaceutical industry looking to learn new skills.

Hourly rate : $34.52 (with 4% increase in October) + 11% Super

Shift : Day

Purpose of the role :

Coordinate and complete wash bay cleaning tasks so that Manufacturing and Packaging can run as continuously as possible.

Day to day responsibilities :

Carry out cleaning of packing, manufacturing, filling and ancillary equipment within specified time frames to minimise equipment down time. Mechanical aptitude is required for stripping down and putting equipment back together as well as understanding the parts.

Communicate effectively with Manufacturing and Packaging Supervisors, Line Leader, Operators, Supervisor, Machine Setters and Maintenance / Engineering staff.

Monitor the production plan, paying attention to changes, special instructions and other requirements.

Wash production equipment in accordance with washbay procedures as stipulated in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)

Ensure that all work is done according to the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Complete all relevant documentation including Cleaning Checklists, forms and logbooks as necessary.

Work with the Quality departments to improve cleaning processes and practices

Experience of more than 3 years in a similar role is a must. Forklift licence advantageous. Must be physically fit to lift up to 25kgs safely.
