Job Overview
The Global Agency Approval (GAA) Engineer will be based in Bangalore and report directly to the GAA Engineering EMEA Leader in Austria. This role supports the global expansion of the GAA Engineering Team, which currently operates across EMEA (Austria), China, and the US.
GAA Engineers are responsible for managing product certifications and approvals (e.g., UL, CSA, VDE, CQC) across TE Connectivity’s global portfolio. Operating at the corporate level, the team works with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions to ensure projects meet financial, scheduling, and customer requirements.
Key activities include defining project timelines, coordinating with certification agencies, risk management, and ensuring compliance with LeanPD processes. The team also ensures correct product marking to avoid legal penalties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management
- Verify accuracy and completeness of initial project data submitted by requestors (pre-evaluation).
- Actively track multiple ongoing certification projects.
- Review and validate updated certificates from agencies.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and system access in TE platforms.
2. Support Functions
Assist Packaging and Responsible Design Organization (RDO) with minimum marking requirements.3. Resource Planning
Plan and coordinate resources for the global Industrial Relays Engineering Teams.Balance competing project priorities within budget and delivery timelines.4. Technical Coordination
Understand product specifications and customer needs to provide technical feedback.Independently manage smaller agency projects (e.g., material updates, MLs).Ensure open communication with internal departments and GAA team members.5. Purchasing Process
Understand and support the internal purchase order and payment process.Serve as backup for team members when needed.Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in resource planningMinimum 3 years of experience in project management
