Position : Transportation Specialist

The Transportation Specialist will provide an elevated level of customer service to both internal and external customers and will work closely with material planners and transportation providers for Leica Biosystems Transportation. The incumbent in this role will function as an integral member of the Leica Biosystems Transportation Team and understands key business drivers. In conjunction with Transportation service, the Transportation Specialist will create and maintain an environment of continuous improvement and cost metrics, as well as focus on ensuring the continuous flow of material from international suppliers to / from Leica Biosystems facilities.

This position is part of the Global Supply Chain Organization (GSC) located in Richmond, IL and will be on-site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of Global Supply Chain and report to the Transportation Manager responsible for leading all transportation activities for the Americas. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, working across multi-functional teams while managing large transportation volumes with high visibility throughout the LBS organization and want to work to build a world-class global supply chain organizationread on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

• Work with cross-functional teams (Distribution Centers, Planning, Sales Teams, and Project / Strategy) to identify and resolve issues.
• Utilize Problem Solving Process methodology to determine root cause and counter measure analysis to problems impacting business performance.
• Participate in strategic and continuous improvement plans to ensure business standards are met using Danaher Business Systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $85,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay.
