Accountant manages and reports on an organization's financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. They record transactions, analyze data, and prepare reports like balance sheets and income statements. Accountants also play a role in budgeting, audits, and tax preparation.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Record Keeping : Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records of all transactions.
Financial Reporting : Preparing and presenting financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Data Analysis : Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting : Assisting with the creation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
Tax Compliance : Preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Auditing : Conducting internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
Reconciling Accounts : Reconciling financial discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of accounts.
Compliance : Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Supporting Decision-Making : Providing financial insights and data to support informed business decisions.
Collaboration : Working with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective financial management.
Requirements
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
