Job Description - Mechanical Design Engineer

Should have 2-to-4-year experience as design engineer in Machinery design / CNC Machines, Special Purpose machine for metal cutting, and Industrial Automation.

Knowledge of any 3D CAD software and 2D software. Exposure to Autodesk Fusion 360 and for design is a must. knowledge of GD & T and Design checking.

Job Tasks :

• Concept design and Design calculations for CNC machine, SPM, Automation design.
• Design and optimization of mechanical components for CNC Machines, Automation systems & Robots.
• Analysis of mechanical systems, including Finite Element analysis for structural, vibration, Dynamic, Contact & Assembly analysis.
• Selection and sizing of standard parts like Bearings, Ballscrews, LM Guides, etc
• Design Hydraulic and Pneumatic circuits for the machine.
• Documentation activities (drawings, BOM).
• Technical support for fabrication, assembly and testing.
• Spare parts technical support and Inputs for Machine Manual writing.
• Machine cost estimation.
• Engineering design to project specifications.
• Engineering project management and drafting management
• Continuous learning and improvements based on new technology.
• Develops procedures and processes that lead to reliable designs.
• Understands and uses the philosophy and tools of lean manufacturing and DFMA.
• Follow ISO 9001 : 2015 procedures for design and development, Document design changes and revisions.
