Roles and Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and optimize Layer 2 (MAC / RLC / PDCP) functionalities in 4G LTE and 5G NR systems.
- Implement and enhance MAC Scheduler algorithms ensuring performance and reliability in real-time environments.
- Analyze and resolve issues across L2 / L3 interfaces using logs, traces, and debugging tools (e.g., Wireshark, GDB).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including L1, L3, testing, and systems teams to integrate and validate features.
- Contribute to 3GPP compliance by interpreting and applying specifications in Layer 2 protocol development.
- Work on link adaptation, QoS scheduling, SPS, TTI bundling, and HARQ processes.
Mandatory skills :
Candidate should possess In depth knowledge of 3GPP Specification specifically Layer 2 and Layer 3.In depth understanding of Layer1 Layer2 interfaces and Layer2 Layer3 interfacesMust have knowledge of networking protocols like TCP / IP, UDP etc..Must have experience in debugging complex real time issues, log file analysis etc.Desired skills :
