Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Lead located in Bengaluru. We are looking for a Tech Lead – PHP to lead our backend development efforts. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in Core PHP , Laravel , and MySQL , along with good knowledge of JavaScript , HTML , and CSS . Experience in Vue.js or React.js is a bonus. The ideal candidate will be responsible not only for hands-on coding but also for mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development and innovation. Additionally, the Technical Lead will be tasked with troubleshooting technical issues, defining technical roadmaps, and contributing to strategic planning for technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers working on web-based loyalty platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using Core PHP , Laravel , and MySQL .
  • Guide architectural decisions and ensure adherence to best practices in coding and application design.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Participate in and enforce robust version control practices using Git .
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend web development.
  • Deep expertise in Core PHP and Laravel framework.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL , including performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript , HTML , and CSS .
  • Working knowledge of Vue.js or React.js is a plus.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control and code collaboration tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working with AgriTech or Loyalty software solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI / CD pipelines, and cloud services.
  • Prior experience in a startup or product-based company.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and coaching team members.
