Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer. The Senior Ruby on Rails Developer will be responsible for back-end and front-end web development, utilizing Object-Oriented Programming, Model-View-Controller architecture, and Test-Driven Development methodologies.

Title : Senior Ruby on Rails developer (Permanent WFH)

Experience :  5+  years

Budget : up to  up to 22LPA (fixed)

Roles & Responsibilities :

Design and develop RESTful services and APIs using Python, Ruby (Rails), or Go.

Own and evolve core backend systems supporting content storage, tagging, permissions, and more.

Collaborate on data modeling and system design for scale, performance, and reliability.

Partner with DevOps on monitoring, observability, and performance tuning.

Implement scalable background workers and asynchronous job pipelines.

Drive technical decisions with a pragmatic, business-aligned approach.

Work across distributed systems and modern cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP).

Create and maintain DRY oriented Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to automate deployment, scaling, and management.

Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and cross-team collaboration.

Collaborate with global teams across time zones and functions.

Required Skills :

5+ years of experience building production-level backend systems.

Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Ruby on Rails.

Solid understanding of cloud services, distributed systems, and database design (PostgreSQL preferred).

Familiarity with API design, caching, background job queues (Sidekiq and Redis), and performance profiling.

Familiarity with managed Kubernetes environments (GKE, EKS, etc), serverless and microservice architectures.

Familiarity with modern observability patterns and tooling.

Experience with CI / CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or GCP).

Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate in a global team environment.
