Job Title : Desktop Support Engineer

Years of Exp : 1-4 years

Location : Pune, Maharashtra

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled and service-oriented Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing end-to-end technical support for desktops, laptops, software, and network systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware and software issues across Windows and other operating systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve end-user problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and authorized mobile devices.
  • Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, software applications, and security updates.
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and system permissions within an Active Directory environment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network connectivity issues including LAN / Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Ensure all devices comply with IT security standards and data protection policies.
  • Support software configuration management (SCM) tasks including version control, patch management, and updates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and asset inventory through ITSM tools.
  • Coordinate with other IT teams and vendors for advanced troubleshooting or equipment replacements.
  • Assist in routine audits, backups, and compliance reviews to ensure system integrity and security.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Hands-on experience in software and hardware installation, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, IT service management, and desktop environment best practices.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools, remote desktop support, and network diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
