Role Overview :

ClearTrail Technologies is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Business Development to lead growth initiatives across Africa and the Middle East. This role will focus on converting key leads-aligned with the services and capabilities of our strategic partner, Impetus Technologies-into impactful business opportunities. The selected candidate will drive ClearTrail's market expansion by applying a deep understanding of enterprise IT solutions in high-stakes government, telecom, and enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead Management : Take ownership of existing leads, ensuring timely follow-ups and conversion strategies that align with both ClearTrail and Impetus Technologies' objectives.
  • Strategic Planning : Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans targeting key industry sectors, leveraging insights into cloud, data engineering, and analytics services.
  • Partnership Development : Foster and expand relationships with key stakeholders at Impetus Technologies, ensuring alignment in joint business objectives and collaborative efforts.
  • Market Analysis : Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, staying abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Sales Enablement : Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create compelling value propositions and sales collateral that resonate with potential clients.
  • Performance Metrics : Establish and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of business development strategies, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in business development within the IT services sector.
  • Proven experience in Africa and / or the Middle East markets-especially working with government, telecom, or BFSI sectors.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data engineering frameworks, analytics solutions, and digital transformation projects.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.

  • Experience of working with organizations like Impetus Technologies.
  • Existing network of decision-makers or influencers in MEA enterprise ecosystems
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and partners
