RBL Bank - L2 Storage Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Storage L2 Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. The Storage L2 Engineer will also provide technical leadership and expertise to the storage team, and collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Design and Implementation : Design and implement storage solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.

2. Storage Infrastructure Management : Manage and maintain storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, and object storage systems.

3. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution : Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage-related issues, working with vendors and other teams as needed.

4. Performance Optimization : Optimize storage performance, ensuring that storage systems meet business requirements.

5. Capacity Planning : Plan and manage storage capacity, ensuring that storage resources are utilized efficiently.

6. Technical Leadership : Provide technical leadership and expertise to the storage team, and collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other infrastructure components.

7. Documentation and Knowledge Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of storage infrastructure and processes.

8. Vendor Management : Work with storage vendors to resolve issues, and to stay current with new technologies and best practices.

Requirements :

1. Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

2. Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in storage engineering, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing storage infrastructure.

3. Technical Skills : In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage systems. Experience with storage vendors such as EMC, NetApp, and IBM. Strong understanding of storage protocols, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS.

4. Certifications : Relevant storage certifications, such as EMCIE, NetApp NCIE, or IBM Certified Storage Engineer.

5. Soft Skills : Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
