Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented professional to join our retail lending team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the sourcing and sales of various retail credit products, primarily focusing on Home Loans and Loan Against Property, through self-lead generation and strategic partnerships.
This role requires a strong understanding of banking products, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to ensure end-to-end deal closure while maintaining a healthy loan portfolio.
Key Sourcing & Sales :
- Actively source Home Loans, Loan Against Property (LAP), Lease Rental Discounting (LRD), and other retail products offered by the bank.
- Generate self-leads through networking, market intelligence, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with branch teams to leverage branch activities for lead generation.
- Identify and convert sales opportunities to achieve assigned targets and contribute to the bank's retail portfolio growth.
Relationship Management :
Develop, maintain, and manage strong relationships with key business generators such as Direct Selling Agents (DSAs), Connectors, Chartered Accountants (CAs), and other financial consultants.Nurture existing relationships to ensure continuous lead flow and repeat business.Onboard new partners and ensure their effective engagement with the bank's offerings.Portfolio Management :
Responsible for maintaining a good quality loan portfolio for the Mortgage business in the assigned region.Adhere to internal policies and regulatory guidelines to minimize risk and ensure portfolio health.Loan Processing & Coordination :
Coordinate seamlessly with the Credit department throughout the loan processing cycle, from application submission to final disbursement.Address queries from the Credit team and provide necessary documentation or information in a timely manner.Due Diligence & KYC :
Undertake necessary site visits of properties intended for mortgage to assess their suitability and valuation.Conduct thorough due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) verification for all borrowers as per bank policies and regulatory requirements.Understand the intricacies of various cases and effectively filter them to ensure only appropriate and viable cases are put up for approval.Market & Product Knowledge :
Possess thorough knowledge of various Banking products, including features, benefits, eligibility criteria, and pricing.Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in the retail lending space.Deal Closure :
Ensure end-to-end closure of all underlined deals by effectively engaging both internal (Credit, Operations, Legal) and external stakeholders (borrowers, business generators, property owners).Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience in retail asset sales, specifically in Home Loans, Loan Against Property, and Lease Rental Discounting, within a bank or NBFC.Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets through self-lead generation and partner management.Strong understanding of loan processes, credit policies, and risk assessment in mortgage lending.Excellent relationship building and management skills with DSAs, CAs, and other financial intermediaries.Thorough knowledge of various banking retail products.Ability to conduct property site visits and perform due diligence.Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Highly organized, self-motivated, and target-driven.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamref : iimjobs.com)
