Role Summary :

  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks across all business verticals of the NBFC. The role involves establishing robust risk management frameworks, conducting risk reviews, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement the operational risk management framework, policies, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and compliance risks in operational processes, collaborate with product, technology, operations, and compliance teams to ensure process design improvement.
  • Define KPIs and dashboards for process monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • Identify key risk indicators (KRIs) and perform regular risk assessments across business processes.
  • Conduct risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) across departments and support mitigation planning.
  • Monitor and analyze operational loss events and near misses, and facilitate root cause analysis.
  • Prepare risk reports for management and board-level committees (e.g Risk Management Committee).
  • Analyze and assess existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement end-to-end process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process changes are aligned with business goals and integrated effectively.
  • Monitor KPIs post-implementation to ensure sustained improvements.
  • Lead special strategic projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
  • Ensure all process changes and new initiatives are aligned with RBI guidelines and NBFC regulatory requirements.
  • Qualifications and Skills :

  • Postgraduate in Finance, Risk, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in management consulting (e.g., Big 4, MBB), strategy roles in fintech / NBFC / banking, or process transformation roles.
  • Deep understanding of NBFC operations, digital lending models
  • Experience in process consulting, operations transformation, or business analysis in NBFCs or BFSI sector is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of RBI guidelines end-to-end NBFC operations, including lending, collections, compliance, and tech integration.
  • Analytical mindset with hands-on experience in risk tools and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
