Job Title : Head – Human Resources (Manufacturing Plant)

Location : Karnataka, Gujarat, Gurugram

Industry : FMCG / Auto Ancillary / Electric Vehicles (EV)

Experience Required : 15+ years (preferably in manufacturing operations)

Employment Type : Full-time

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned HR Head to lead the human resource function for our manufacturing plant . The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of progressive HR experience , with significant exposure to FMCG, Auto Ancillary, or Electric Vehicle (EV) sectors . This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership capabilities, and deep understanding of shop-floor HR practices, industrial relations, and workforce engagement in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the business and operational goals of the plant.
  • Partner with Plant Leadership to ensure optimal workforce planning, productivity, and organizational health.

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for plant roles including blue-collar and supervisory staff.
  • Forecast manpower requirements and build a strong talent pipeline.
  • 3. Industrial Relations (IR) & Compliance

  • Maintain harmonious employee relations and proactively address grievances.
  • Handle union negotiations (where applicable), disciplinary proceedings, and statutory compliance under labor laws.
  • Ensure timely audits and adherence to all applicable labor regulations.
  • 4. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

  • Drive engagement initiatives, welfare activities, and open communication channels for all employees.
  • Promote a high-performance culture and strong employer branding at the plant level.
  • 5. Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs and implement skill-building programs for plant personnel.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development.
  • 6. Performance Management & Rewards

  • Implement robust performance appraisal systems and goal-setting processes.
  • Design and execute incentive programs aligned with productivity and quality metrics.
  • 7. HR Operations & Systems

  • Oversee payroll, HRMS operations, attendance management, and shift planning.
  • Maintain accurate HR dashboards, MIS reports, and analytics for decision-making.
  • Key Requirements :

  • Education : MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent from a reputed institute.
  • Experience : 15+ years in HR, with at least 7–10 years in a manufacturing setup.
  • Sector Preference : FMCG, Auto Ancillary, or EV industry exposure is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, IR frameworks, statutory compliance , and shop-floor dynamics .
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage large blue-collar and contract workforce effectively.
