Job descriptionMonitor data center systems, including servers, storage devices, and network equipment, using monitoring tools.Respond to alerts and take appropriate action to resolve issues or escalate to higher-level support as needed.Perform regular health checks on data center equipment to ensure optimal performance.Provide L1 / L2 support for hardware and software issues, including server reboots, network connectivity problems, and hardware failures.Knowledge of Data center related parameters (cooling, power) and ISO standards.Coordinate with L2 / L3 / L4 engineers and vendors for more complex issues and repairs.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as server rack installations, hardware upgrades, and cabling.Manage and document data center assets, including hardware inventory and configuration details.Conduct regular backups and data recovery tests as per established procedures.Respond promptly to data center incidents, including power outages, hardware failures, and security breaches.Follow and enforce data center security policies and procedures.Maintain accurate records of data center operations, including maintenance logs, incident reports, and change management documentation.Prepare / participate in regular reporting activities on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities for management review.Work closely with other IT teams, including network, systems, and storage engineers, to resolve issues and improve operations.Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure smooth data center operations.Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as required.
