Vandey provides outsourced instructional services to institutions of higher education and is seeking a candidate to work for Vandey to serve in a full-time role as a Director of Data Intelligence and Analytics with the University of the People.

University of the People is seeking a Director of Data Intelligence and Analytics to lead our BI / Analytics Group :

In this role, you’ll shape our data and analytics strategy, overseeing data-driven initiatives that inform decision-making across the organization. You’ll partner with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, develop reporting capabilities, and drive continuous improvements in data collection and analysis processes.

REPORTS TO : VP of Strategy Planning and Data

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth. Develop team skills in data visualization, data modeling, and statistical analysis. Formulate and implement management techniques for quality data collection, to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data. Manage the intake of data requests to the team.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (e.g., Marketing, Enrollment, Academic Affairs, Operations) to identify key institutional questions and create data solutions.
• Analytics & Reporting : Oversee the development of dashboards, KPI reports, and data visualizations. Drive the implementation of self-service Power BI dashboards for end-users to access data independently.
• Single Source of Truth / Quality : Work closely with Data Engineering teams to establish our Datawarehouse as the single source of truth while continuously developing the University data dictionary. Support and train data analysts with centralization of data processing logic in the DW
