Position : Power Electronics Engineer for Motor Control

Location : Hyderabad / Lucknow

Job Summary

Reflex Drive is seeking a talented Power Electronics Engineer to design and optimize power electronics systems for advanced motor control applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in power electronics, motor control algorithms, and embedded systems, with a focus on delivering high-efficiency solutions for electric motor drives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Power Electronics Design : Develop and design power electronics circuits, including inverters, DC-DC converters, and gate drivers, for motor control systems used in Reflex Drive’s motor drive solutions.
  • Motor Control Algorithms : Implement and optimize motor control algorithms (e.g., Field-Oriented Control [FOC], Direct Torque Control [DTC]) for BLDC, PMSM, and induction motors to achieve superior performance and efficiency.
  • Simulation and Modeling : Conduct simulations and modeling using tools like MATLAB / Simulink, PSpice, or LTspice to validate power electronics designs and control strategies.
  • Prototyping and Testing : Build and test prototypes, perform system-level validation, and troubleshoot hardware / software issues to ensure robust motor drive performance.
  • Optimization : Optimize power electronics and control systems for efficiency, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in demanding applications.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and system architects, to integrate motor control systems into Reflex Drive’s products.
  • Documentation : Create detailed design documentation, specifications, and test reports to support product development and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
  • Experience : 3+ years (Mid-Level) or 5+ years (Senior) of experience in power electronics design and motor control systems.
  • Proven expertise in designing inverters, converters, and gate drivers for motor drives.
  • Hands-on experience with motor control techniques (FOC, DTC, PWM) for BLDC, PMSM, or induction motors.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in simulation tools (MATLAB / Simulink, PSpice, LTspice, or similar).
  • Familiarity with PCB design and layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
  • Understanding of thermal management, EMI / EMC standards, and power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC / GaN).
