Job description

The Head HR will be responsible for leading and managing the entire HR function for the organization. This includes driving HR strategy, strengthening systems and processes, overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and learning & development, while acting as a key business partner to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic HR Leadership : Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals. Act as a trusted advisor to the management on people-related matters.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention : Lead recruitment across levels, especially for plant and factory roles. Build strong talent pipelines and reduce attrition through effective retention strategies.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement : Maintain a positive work environment, drive employee engagement initiatives, and address grievances and disciplinary issues promptly.
  • Compliance & Statutory Requirements : Ensure compliance with all labour laws, factory acts, and regulatory requirements. Liaise with legal and government authorities as needed.
  • HR Operations : Oversee payroll, HRIS, performance management systems, and other operational aspects of HR.
  • Training & Development : Identify training needs and roll out learning and development programs, especially around GMP, hygiene, and safety in the food industry.
  • Culture Building : Promote a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement at all levels.
  • Union Handling (if applicable) : Manage union relationships and collective bargaining processes with professionalism and balance.

Key Requirements :

  • 12 to 18 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, factory HR, and compliance-related matters.
  • Proven experience managing multi-plant operations or large workforce environments.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
  • MBA in HR / Postgraduate degree in HR preferred.
