Description

  • Basic understanding of Project Management
  • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes.
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Facilitate project meetings, create materials to be used for presentation at working group meetings, and provide reporting / metrics as required.
  • Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new clients.

Job Responsibilities Project Initiation :

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
  • Secure necessary approvals and funding.

    • Project Planning :

  • Create detailed project schedules and work breakdown structures.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies.
  • Establish effective communication channels with stakeholders.

    • Project Execution :

  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of tasks.
  • Manage project budget and resources effectively.
  • Make informed decisions to optimize project outcomes.

    • Project Closure :

  • Conduct a thorough project review and evaluation.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices.
  • Ensure project deliverables are handed over to relevant teams.

    • Risk Management :

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.
  • Monitor and report on risk levels throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Stakeholder Management :

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.

    • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence :

  • Ensure project activities align with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Implement appropriate security measures to protect sensitive information.

    • Key Skills

  • Sound knowledge of Investment Banking products predominantly Derivatives.
  • Detail understanding in Trade Lifecycle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio & MS Outlook).
  • Analytic problem-solving skills.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • 5-6 years of experience of working in the Banking / finance industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.

    • Desirable Skills Qualifications

    Graduate / Post Graduate in any faculty related to Banking and Financial Services
