We’re hiring a Senior Backend Java Developer to work with one of the UAE’s most reputable financial institutions. This is a contract-based remote opportunity to build scalable backend applications for enterprise banking systems.

Role Overview

You will design, build, and maintain robust backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. This role is ideal for experienced Java professionals who thrive in fast-paced, enterprise environments and are passionate about clean, scalable code.

Tech Stack & Tools

  • Languages & Frameworks : Java (8+), Spring, Spring Boot
  • Databases : MS SQL
  • Architecture : Microservices, RESTful APIs
  • ORM : Hibernate / JPA or equivalent
  • DevOps & Monitoring (Bonus) : Docker, Microsoft Azure CI / CD, Vara Code, Splunk
  • Frontend (Optional) : Angular or React

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance backend systems using Java, Spring & Spring Boot
  • Implement REST APIs and support Microservices-based development
  • Perform code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance or production issues
  • Participate in the full SDLC — from requirements to deployment
  • Collaborate with teams across architecture, QA, DevOps, and Product

    • What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of core experience in backend Java development preferably in the banking sector.
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot and Microservices
  • Strong SQL skills (MS SQL) and ORM familiarity
  • Experience working on large-scale enterprise or banking systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
  • Familiarity with cloud (Azure), CI / CD tools, or frontend (React / Angular) is a plus
