In this role, you will :
Develop, implement, and monitor risk-based programs to identify, assess, and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems, or external eventsMaintain a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiencyEvaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, and internal controlsAnalyze extremely complex business and system changes to determine impact, identify operational risk issues and participate in the development of risk ratingsProvide operational risk expertise and consulting to complex business units for initiatives with high risk, generally spanning multiple business linesDesign and develop the most complex testing strategies, methodologies and analysesConsult with the business to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage changeIdentify training opportunitiesDesign and coordinate the development of training materials and coordinate or deliver trainingReport findings and develop business cases to influence executive management, management committee member or head of business on the need for controls to mitigate riskCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLead project or virtual teams and mentor less experienced staffPartner with Technology, Monitoring and SERM Program peers across Corporate Risk, Front Line and Technology teams to implement an integrated, strategic solution to enable the banks RMP capabilitiesDrive the documentation of detailed business requirements, while partnering with Technology to design the requirementsDocument test scripts, while also conducting the Solutions Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Production CheckoutLead the user acceptance testing (UAT) strategy for key technology releases.Responsible for overseeing the overall UAT plan, UAT testing, preparing UAT status report for senior leadersManage the UAT Lifecyle until completion, including defect managementAct as the initial POC / SME for key RMP functionalityAnalyze extremely complex business and system changes to determine impact on application or processDesign and develop the complex testing strategies, methodologies and analysesDesign and coordinate the development of training materials and coordinate or deliver trainingDevelop business cases to influence executive management, management committee member or head of businessCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLead project or virtual teams and mentor less experienced staffRequired Qualifications :
5+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications :
5+ years of product owner and / or application testing experience4+ years pf operational risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, educationFunctional understanding and industry GRC solution knowledgeStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner Attention to detailExperience Business Analysis, with an understanding of Agile Technology techniqueA strong understanding of operational risk data components and related taxonomiesStrong communication, ability to balance business expertise and execution with a clear articulation of business requirements for a technical audience, in both verbal and written formats Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skillsJob Expectations :
The Lead Operational Risk Officer will be part of a team responsible for designing and delivering the strategic technology agenda for the bank's Risk Measurement Platform (RMP) solution (In house developed JAVA based technology tool), ensuring the bank meets its regulatory commitments. This role will work closely with the Operational Risk Foundational Pprogram - IRMMM program team to build out the necessary technology solution. The role with also partner with other programs (ie, ORFP - Monitoring, & Strategic Enterprise Risk Management) to help support the buildout of the required functionality in the application. The team is also responsible for coordinating across stakeholders on requirements gathering and adhering to the system development control activities required for RMP.Shift Timing : 1 : 30 PM to 10 : 30 PMHybrid Work from Office SetupPosting End Date : 10 Jul 2025
