Job descriptionProvision, configure and manage Snowflake environments including warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, and users. Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, storage usage, and query efficiency. Implement and manage data sharing, replication, and failover strategies. Automate administrative tasks using Snowflake scripting and tools. Azure Cloud Integration : Integrate Snowflake with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Synapse, and Azure Key Vault. Manage data pipelines and ETL / ELT workflows between Snowflake and Azure. Ensure secure connectivity and data transfer using Azure Private Link, VNet integration, and IAM roles. Security & Compliance : Design and implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) strategies to manage user permissions and data access. Develop and enforce Row-Level Security (RLS) and Column-Level Security (CLS) policies to ensure granular data protection. Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Conduct regular audits and manage encryption keys and secrets. Monitoring & Support : Set up monitoring and alerting for Snowflake usage and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data access, performance, and integration. Provide support to data engineering and analytics teams. Documentation & Collaboration : Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, and Dev Ops. Certification in Azure or Snowflake. Prior experience working with automated ETL conversion tools used during cloud migrations (Snow Convert, Blade Bridge etc). Experience with data modeling and database design. Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices. Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
