Job Description :
The Assistant Manager IT Operations will support the IT Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department. This role involves managing IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability and reliability of IT systems, and leading a team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in IT operations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align IT Operations with business objectives while ensuring the strategic goals security, scalability, and reliability of our Technology environment.
Responsibilities :
Supervise IT Operations : Assist in managing the IT operations team to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications.
Assist in supervising and mentoring IT staff, providing guidance and support. Coordinate and manage daily IT operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Monitor Systems Performance : Regularly monitor system performance and take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Ensure the security and integrity of all IT systems and data. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Incident Management : Oversee incident management processes, ensuring that incidents are resolved quickly and effectively to minimize impact on business operations.
Infrastructure Management : Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades and new installations.
Provide leadership and guidance to the IT operations team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
Security Compliance : Ensure IT operations comply with security policies and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of company data.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations. Implement and manage security measures to protect data and IT infrastructure.
Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.
Support : Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for IT issues escalated by the IT support team.
Training to staff as needed. Address and resolve user issues and complaints in a timely manner. Develop and maintain user documentation and guides.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of IT professionals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator, or similar are preferred.
Deep understanding go ITSM and IT service operations Management.
Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
