Senior Platform Architect – Claims Cost Solutions
Position Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Platform Architect to lead the architectural vision and technical direction for a mission-critical healthcare platform used across the Claims Cost Solutions division. This role will ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and interoperable—empowering consumers to easily find the best-fit care when they need it most.
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem—including patient, provider, and payer needs—and combines this with hands-on expertise in platform architecture, cloud modernization, and secure application design.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Strategy & Architecture
- Serve as the primary architect for all platform-related projects and initiatives.
- Define and maintain architectural standards across applications, services, and integrations.
- Lead solution design , ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy.
- Define and monitor key platform KPIs and ensure delivery meets performance, scalability, and security targets.
Technical Leadership
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for platform engineering initiatives.Coach and mentor team members; lead code reviews and establish coding standards .Guide and participate in application performance tuning and optimization.System Development & Integration
Design and develop relational data structures, APIs, and services with an emphasis on microservices and interoperability .Drive the creation of features that support workflow customization and minimize code complexity.Lead .NET / C# development, contributing clean, scalable, and secure code.Collaborate on CI / CD pipeline implementation using Azure DevOps or similar tools.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with software engineers, QA, product owners, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.Collaborate with the broader enterprise architecture community to support IT strategy and standardization.Work closely with offshore technical teams and ensure smooth integration and delivery.Security & Compliance
Ensure adherence to enterprise security, privacy, and compliance standards.Facilitate security assessments and manage risk throughout the development lifecycle.Qualifications
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in software development, architecture, or related IT disciplines.Strong background in Agile software development methodologies.Proven success in technical leadership , project delivery, and platform sustainability.Expertise in :NET / .NET Core , C# , SQL Server , Visual StudioMicroservices architecture , Kubernetes , Linux , WindowsCloud platforms : Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCPCI / CD pipelines , DevOps practicesDatabase design , performance tuning, indexingApplication modernization and migration to the cloudPreferred
Healthcare IT experience (claims, benefits, clinical workflows)Familiarity with :ANSI X12 standards : 837, 834, 835Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architectureQueuing and RPC technologiesNetworking concepts : SAN, firewalls, infrastructureExperience in .NET to .NET Core migrationsExposure to open-source frameworks and toolsAdditional Responsibilities
