Job Description :

Part Redesigning in Unigraphics (NX) to improve Ease of Manufacturability, Improve process time, and reduce cost in Fabrication, Machining & Assembly.

Requirements and skills :

Mechanical / Industrial engineering / Automobile with 5-7 years of relevant experience

Proficiency working in PLM Teamcenter and NX, knowledge of FEA and its process

Experience in creating Machining, Fabrication assembly models

Strong in GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, DFA / DFM / DFS

Good working knowledge of the ECN / ECR process

Strong knowledge of Engineering standards [ANSI, ISO, ASTM]

Process knowledge in Fabrication, Machining & Assembly

Knowledge of Material selection and its applications

Must know Design Hand calculations

Good in using MS Office applications

Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, accountability and schedule-oriented

Flexible to work in the US time zone for effective team engagement (as needed)

Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills

Exposure to Shop floor environment

Responsibilities :

Able to clearly understand the problem definition / scope for redesign

Should create a Design Concept and come up with multiple ideas.

Should be able to engage with a cross-functional team of Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineers (Internal and external)

Primarily involved in Tollgate review meetings

Conduct ECR / ECN review meetings.

Release of drawings and Models in Teamcenter

Soft skills;

Good in Communication

Good analytical abilities

Creativity and ingenuity

Excellent work ethics

Self-motivated

Other skills set :

Knowledge on NC programming will be an added advantage
