Business Process Consultant (Aviation) description :
Our client, a leading consulting firm supporting a major airline in the Asia Pacific region, is seeking a Business Process Consultant with strong domain expertise in aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations.
This role will support a large-scale business and IT transformation program, focusing on aligning and improving processes across supply chain, engineering, maintenance planning, and inventory management functions.
The consultant will work alongside the client's internal teams and the consulting team, taking a hands-on role in leading workshops, driving process reengineering efforts, and supporting MRO IT alignment activities. Familiarity with MRO systems (such as AMOS or SAP) is important to ensure effective collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
This is a 12-month engagement and will be primarily remote but will require travel to Hong Kong for key workshops. APAC location is preferred to enable time zone alignment and travel flexibility. The project is expected to start around May-June 2025, with full engagement ramp-up by July.
What you will be doing :
- Lead business process workshops with airline engineering, supply chain, and maintenance stakeholders.
- Document current-state processes and drive future-state design discussions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities across supply chain, maintenance planning, and inventory functions.
- Provide domain input into business requirements and system integration discussions.
- Support MRO IT activities by offering functional guidance on system interactions (e.g., AMOS, SAP), without needing to perform system configuration or migration tasks directly.
- Work collaboratively with internal consulting and client teams, contributing both strategic insights and detailed execution (e.g., process flows, requirement summaries).
- Guide and oversee data cleansing decision points by identifying gaps and irregularities from a business standpoint.
Your background :
Strong experience (7-10+ years) working in airline maintenance, engineering, or supply chain functions (aviation or aerospace industry background is a must).Deep understanding of in either of the following : operations, maintenance planning, supply chain, and inventory processes.Familiarity with MRO IT systems (e.g., AMOS, SAP) and how they support business operationsProven track record leading or facilitating business process improvement and transformation initiatives.Ability to independently lead workshops and stakeholder discussions.Execution-focused : able to deliver outputs (process documentation, user flows, business requirements) and not just advisory support.Strong communication skills; able to engage confidently with business stakeholders across engineering and supply chain teams.ref : iimjobs.com)
