partner with our Product teams to create innovative products,
services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for
travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology
platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure,
differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and
traveler satisfaction.
Expedia
Group Activities Shopping Experience team is building outstanding
experiences for travelers to plan, shop and book activities for
their trip. We use personalisation and recommendations to help
traveler discover and shop the experiences that suit their travel
the most, and help them complete their itinerary. Our team is
looking for someone who will drive the innovation and scale of
Activities business, by delivering a world-class suite of products
& experiences that will delight our travelers, while crafting a
working environment where top technical talent will

In this role, you
will : Build
state of the art, secure and highly available mobile applications
with a strong focus on excellent user
experience.
Collaborate with
developers, product management and UX to deliver objectives and
goals set together as a
team.
Drive continuous
improvement and continuous delivery in the software development
process within an agile development team to rapidly deliver
quality.
Take ownership of
your solutions all the way to production, striving for operational
excellence with a first-to-know, quick-to-fix and always improving
attitude. And have fun working with a passionate and diverse
team!
Work closely with the
rest of our globally distributed native mobile developers, helping
to break apart monolithic apps and improve platform capabilities to
meet their needs.
Facilitate
and contribute to discussions that result in simple, scalable, and
reliable system
designs.
Help our teams
operate efficiently and collaboratively to build apps that are
performant, compact, intuitive, and
maintainable.

Experience and
qualifications : Strong
experience in Android development (Java / Kotlin, modern Android
frameworks, app
architecture).
Proven skills
in backend development (REST APIs, TypeScript / Java, GraphQL,
databases, server-side frameworks) to build and integrate
end-to-end
solutions.
Display
outstanding communication and interpersonal skills - having worked
in a distributed team before is a
plus!
Is inquisitive and
have an eye for detail
Have
experience guiding technical designs, mentoring developers, and
helping to drive engineering
excellence.
Are opinionated
and share your ideas freely, with a genuine appetite for
knowledge!
