Description :

3+ years of hands-on experience with Asterisk and PJSIP.

Strong knowledge of chunked PJSIP message handling.

Solid experience with TCP, UDP, TLS in the context of SIP and RTP.

Experience implementing background VoIP calling (e.g., PushKit, CallKit, Android VoIP background strategies).

Proficient in SIP, SDP, RTP / RTCP, STUN / TURN / ICE.

Familiarity with security mechanisms (SRTP, TLS certificates, SIP authentication).

Strong debugging skills : SIP traces, pjsip.conf, extensions.conf, Wireshark.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, implement, and maintain Asterisk-based VoIP solutions using PJSIP (including chunk PJSIP support for large SIP messages).

Develop and optimize SIP profiles, dial plans, and routing logic using Asterisk and PJSIP.

Implement and troubleshoot SIP signaling over TCP, UDP, and TLS, ensuring secure and reliable call flows.

Integrate background calling support (e.g., PushKit / CallKit / Android FCM) to handle VoIP calls when apps are in background or terminated states.

Handle SIP registration, authentication, NAT traversal, and media negotiation (SDP).

Develop monitoring tools and scripts for SIP call tracing, network diagnostics, and performance tuning.

Work collaboratively with mobile teams (iOS, Android) and backend engineers to ensure seamless SIP integration with apps.
