Senior Business Analyst – Job Description Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze and translate business requirements into functional specs, workflows, and solution blueprints.Build analytical models for forecasting, revenue tracking, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.Deep-dive into datasets to identify patterns, insights, and opportunities for business improvement.Create dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations for leadership and cross-functional teams.Conduct root-cause analysis and provide data-backed recommendations.Collaborate with product & engineering to define features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and priorities.Support GTM, revenue, partnerships, and performance teams with insights & competitive analysis.Document processes, business rules, and system integrations in a structured format.Drive alignment through clear communication between business, tech, and leadership stakeholders.Track KPIs across operations, product adoption, events, or revenue flows (as per business unit).Required Skills & Experience
4–8+ years of experience as Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Strategy Analyst, or Data Analyst.Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel / Sheets, SQL, visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).Experience mapping workflows, writing BRDs / FRDs, user stories, and process documents.Strong understanding of tech product environments, SaaS models, or GCC / enterprise workflows.Ability to translate complex business problems into structured, data-driven recommendations.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and structured approach.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CRM + ATS + ERP systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Jira, Asana).Understanding of AI, analytics, user-experience metrics, or customer journey analysis.Exposure to consulting, strategy, or industry research roles.Ability to work with cross-functional teams in high-velocity environments.Experience in building automated dashboards and real-time reporting systems.What Success Looks Like
